KABUL (Pajhwok): Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs Maulvi Abdul Kabir says the interim government’s relations with with neighbouring and regional countries are in a cordial state.
He made the remarks at a meeting with a number of officials and representatives of private universities across the country, the Presidential Palace said in a statement.
Kabir highlighted the importance of both religious and modern education, assuring his interlocutors that their proposals would be carefully reviewed and their concerns addressed.
The deputy premier reaffirmed the caretaker government’s commitment to promoting education and increasing opportunities in the private sector.
Kabir claimed IEA had achieved its primary objectives and its ties with neighbouring and regional countries were in a good state.
Meanwhile, the private varsities’ representatives suggested a committee be set up to hold meetings, if needed, on supporting private educational institutes.
