JALALABAD (Pajhwok): The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) would introduce an education strategy which would protect Islamic and cultural values, a statement said on Tuesday.
Higher Education Minister Shaikh Nida Mohammad Nadim expressed the view during a gathering at Nangarhar University, a statement from the Governor House said.
Nadim said Afghanistan was committed to Islamic Principles in the area of education and development and special efforts were being made in this direction.
They said this policy of the IEA supported teachers and students and would be effective in the improvement of education’s quality.
Deputy Governor of Nangarhar Mawlavi Azizullah Mustafa during his speech demanded the construction of buildings for four faculties, a hall and a new hostel.
Ulema Council Head Sheikh Hazrat Jan Hanafi said the protection of Islamic values was vital besides the development of education or the survival of the system.
It is worth mentioning that Nangarhar University teachers, students and some government officials were present at the gathering.
