KABUL (Pajhwok): As many as 290 projects worth 80 billion afghanis have been approved by the National Procurement Commission since its establishment.
The approved projects concern infrastructure, rural development, transport, health, electricity, water management, agriculture, communication, the office of the deputy prime minister for economic affairs said in a statement.
It put the total cost of the projects at 80 billion afghanis. The schemes are financially supported by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA).
The projects were being executed in various provinces of the country.
NPC under the leader of Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar was set up shortly after the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) takeover based on the decision of its leadership.
