KABUL (Pajhwok): After a Pajhwok Afghan News report about the needs and problems of the Jogi minority, the Ministry of Borders and Tribal Affairs (MoBTA) has announced all members of the Jogi and Jatt minority will be carefully registered.
According to Pajhwok report, some families of the Jogi tribe in capital Kabul had asked the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) to provide them with plots and other essential facilities.
MoBTA wrote on its X handle that based on the decree from the Supreme Leader, the commission for restitution of land has been tasked with registering members of the Jogi and Jatt minority within the country.
MoBTA said all members of the commission headed by deputy minister Maulvi Ismael Ghaznawi had been ordered to locate places where the Jogi and Jatt minority lived in the country and register their identity.
During a meeting, a committee including representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation (MoALI), Ministry of Justice (MoJ) and a representative from the National Statistics and Information Authority (NSIA) was formed to collect data about members of the minority.
To make sure that all Jogi and Jatt tribes are given their fair rights, the committee has the job to register all members of Jogi and Jatt tribes within the country carefully.
Earlier, IEA spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid told Pajhwok: “The IEA considers all citizens of the country in the same and does not distinguish between them, and all nationals of this country are Afghans, they have the right to life, security, stability and good life in the country, and all are considered as citizens of the country.”
The IEA government considers itself obliged to fulfill the rights of all citizens of this country and Afghans where ever they live, he had said.
