KABUL (Pajhwok): Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has called for continued international cooperation with Afghanistan, emphasizing that the current government in Kabul must be supported in addressing its urgent challenges.
Speaking at the 11th summit of the Organization Turkic States (OTS) in Bishkek, Mirziyoyev underscored the importance of integrating Afghanistan into regional economic processes and prioritizing the implementation of social and infrastructure projects, according to the Tashkent Times.
In his remarks, the Uzbek leader highlighted that the Turkic Council should remain focused on Afghanistan.
He said, "We believe that when addressing the pressing problems of Afghanistan, it is imperative to consider providing assistance to the current government, the broad involvement of this state in regional economic processes, and the implementation of social and infrastructure projects."
