Heavy rainfall predicted in 14 provinces

KABUL (Pajhwok):  Heavy rainfall, flashfloods and lightning have been predicted in 14 provinces of the country in the next 48 hours, a statement said on Saturday.

Today and tomorrow (Saturday and Sunday) heavy rainfall, flash floods and lightning are predicted in Badakhshan, Takhar, Kunduz, Balkh, Nuristan, Panjsher, Baghlan, Laghman, Kunar, Nangarhar, Parwan, Bamyan, Sar-i-Pul and Samangan provinces, the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation (MoTCA) wrote on its Twitter handle.

The source wrote that the amount of rainfall in different places is predicted to be between 15 and 35 mm.

The source also wrote that in the southeastern, central and western provinces, including Salang, there is a possibility of relatively strong winds, the speed of which is expected to be between 50 and 70 kilometers per hour in different places.

The MoTCA also predicted heavy snowfall in places high altitude and cold areas.
