More than 320 Afghan refugees deported from Turkey

KABUL (Pajhwok): About 325 Afghan refugees returned from Turkey to their homeland in the past two days, the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations (MoRR) announced on Sunday.

On X, MoRR wrote 325 legal and illegal Afghan refugees had been deported and landed in their country in November 8 and 9.

Deputy Minister of Refugees Maulvi Abdul Rahman Rashid and Legal Support head Ghulam Nabiullah Dadkhel Stanikzai received the returnees at the Kabul International Airport and listened to their problems.

“The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) and MoRR welcome your return and we will be at your service with the facilities we have. The IEA and MoRR are trying to provide you with employment opportunities”: Rashid added.

He said: “We will contact Turkey to solve Afghan refugees’ problems, IEA and MoRR have a representative office in Turkey to address the problems as soon as possible”.

Rashid urged these returnees to stay in the country and participate in its settlement.

The returnees will be given necessary information about legal protection and documents, with each receiving 150 euros from the International Organisation for Migration (IOM).
