Hundreds of addicts rejoin families after rehabilitation: MoI

KABUL (Pajhwok): As many as 500 drug addicts have been reunited with their families after rehabilitation, an official announced on Tuesday.

Abdul Matin Qani, spokesman for the Ministry of Interior (MoI), wrote on its X handle about 500 drug addicts received treatment and vocation training at the 50,000 bed rehabilitation centre in capital Kabul.

He said these addicts had previously been rounded up from various provinces of the country for treatment.

He added these addicts were reunited with their families after undergoing four month rehabilitation and vocation training at the facility.
