KABUL (Pajhwok): Deputy prime minister for political affairs Maulvi Abdul Kabir has called on religious students to also learn necessary modern sciences.
A statement from the Presidential Palace said Maulvi Kabir was addressing graduating students at the Jihadi Madrasa in Kabul.
He stressed balanced development of education in Afghanistan and asked madrasa students equip themselves with administrative principles and knowledge in addition to religious education and learn necessary modern sciences.
He added Afghan students do not need to travel abroad for religious education, which was imparted in the country at the highest level.
He urged scholars to take advantage of specialization section in the foundation of higher education.
