PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): Security forces have seized a number of weapons and ammunition and arrested two suspects in northern Baghlan province, an official said on Monday.
Police chief Qari Abdul Ghoyor Khadim told Pajhwok Afghan News counter-terrorism personnel seized four Kalashnikovs, nine other weapons, one M4, thousands of Kalashnikov and PIKA’s bullets during an operation.
Head of counter-terrorism department Mohammad Nasim Zulfoqar explained two people had been arrested in connection with smuggling of the weapons.
Security forces also have arrested four others on charges of theft and other crimes and they are currently under investigation.
