GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Four development projects are being executed at a cost of 30 million afghanis on the university campus in southern Ghazni province, an official announced on Tuesday.
University chancellor Maulvi Saeedullah Mansour told Pajhwok Afghan News Acting Minister of Higher Education Sheikh Neda Mohammad Nadeem and a delegation accompanying him visited Ghazni’s university and approved four projects worth 30 million afghanis.
He announced construction work on the projects would be launched in near future.
He said the schemes included construction of a general hall for meetings and conferences, a library, a research farm for the Agriculture Faculty and reconstruction of the varsity’s mosque.
He added the minister also pledged approving budget for the purchase of new books for all faculties of the institute.
Meanwhile, teachers and students of the university also urged the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) to pay attention to te higher education sector of the province.
As many as 5,000 students are currently studying in agriculture, economic, law, literature and computer science faculties of the Ghazni’s university.
