FPL to begin on December 1 in Kabul

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Futsal Premier League (FPL), featuring 13 teams, will commence on December 1 in capital Kabul, an official announced on Tuesday.

Farid Ahmad Yousafzai, deputy director of the national futsal committee, inked an agreement for live broadcast of the league with the Radio and Television of Afghanistan (RTA) today (Tuesday).

He told a conference in this regard that FPL, featuring 13 teams, would kick off on December 1 in Kabul.

He said 78 matches would be played and the tournament would last for 39 days.

He added players from the national squad would also be seen in the tournament.

Meanwhile, RTA planning and policy officer Abdul Mubin Hamdard said they would broadcast the league in good quality.

He said they had always strived to broadcast useful programs and sports programs for the citizens.
