KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has signed six cooperation agreements worth nearly four million US dollars with an international organization and five domestic institutions.
In a statement, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) said these cooperation agreements valued three million and 923,000 dollars were signed to strengthen the economy of returning families, support the development of small enterprises, trade and skilled workers.
The statement said acting minister of commerce and industry emphasized on supporting the returnees and after hearing information from officials of the NGOs regarding the manner of implementation of these projects and their impact on the society, he gave necessary instructions to the representatives of these institutions.
Under the agreements, one foreign and five domestic organizations will carry out projects worth about 3.9 million US dollars to strengthen the economy of families, develop businesses and young entrepreneurs.
The projects will be implemented in Kabul, Herat, Balkh, Faryab, Nangarhar, Khost, Takhar, Badakhshan and Bamiyan provinces to support small businesses, education, and professional development.
