PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): Five individuals have been detained on charges of attacking worshippers at a Sufi shrine in northern Baghlan province, an official said on Saturday.
Police spokesman Maulvi Sher Ahmad Burhani told Pajhwok Afghan News that five suspects had been detained on connection with the armed attack at the Sayed Pacha Jan shrine near the Nahrain district market.
According to him, the area has been surrounded by security forces and efforts have been launched to arrest all those involved in the incident.
On Friday night, 10 people were killed as a result of the armed attack. All the victims were worshippers, local authorities said.
