KABUL (Pajhwok): The problems of Afghan and Uzbek traders would be resolved, the acting commerce and industry minister promised at a meeting with businessmen.
The Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MoIC) wrote on X on Friday Minister Nooruddin Azizi and the delegation accompanying paid a visit to the Afghan-Uzbek market.
Azizi met officials of the joint market and discussed with them a number of key issues requiring urgent attention from both countries, the ministry said.
Emphasising on improving trade and business cooperation between the two countries, Azizi told traders that addressing their problems was a priority for the government.
The joint Afghan-Uzbek market was inaugurated in the Sarkhan Darya province of Uzbekistan some time ago by officials from the two countries.
In comments to Pajhwok Afghan News, the officials called the initiation of joint market an effective step towards the growth of trade and economies of both countries and stressed the provision of facilities for traders.
