KABUL (Pajhwok): The National Statistics and Information Authority (NSIA) says that approximately 2,350 foreign nationals entered and exited Afghanistan last month.
According to a statement from the NSIA, 1,286 foreigners, including 50 women, were registered as entering the country, while 1,064 others, including 23 women, were recorded leaving through various crossings and airports.
The data further revealed that 1,238 individuals entered Afghanistan via land ports, and 48 arrived through airports. Of these, 224 foreigners came for sightseeing and visits to historical sites, while the remainder arrived for work purposes.
The majority of foreign arrivals and departures were registered at the ports and airports of Nimroz, Herat, Nangarhar, and Balkh provinces.
In addition to its other responsibilities, the NSIA oversees the registration of foreign nationals entering and exiting the country at designated points.
