KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Minister for Industry and Commerce Nooruddin Azizi is scheduled to leave for Turkey tomorrow to participate in “Halal Istanbul” international exhibition, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry said on Monday.
In a statement on its X, MoIC said yesterday (Sunday) Azizi met with Cenk Ünal, the Turkish ambassador to Kabul.
The two sides also talked about Azizi’s scheduled trip to Turkey, his meetings in Turkey and the inauguration of the exhibition.
The exhibition is scheduled to be held from November 27-30 in Istanbul city.
Abdul Salam Jawad, MoIC spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News that Azizi will leave the country for Turkey tomorrow (Tuesday).
He did not say if Afghan businessmen and investors will accompany Azizi on the trip.
The Halal Istanbul Expo is one of the biggest international exhibitions of the Muslim world where 125 countries, 60 ministers, businessmen, industrialists and investors participated last year.
