Exhibition ‘Ganjina-i-Afghanistan’ commences in Sar-i-Pul

SAR-I-PUL CITY (Pajhwok): An exhibition titled ‘Ganjina-i-Afghanistan’ has been launched to find market for domestic products and attract investment and encourage local customers in northern Sar-i-Pul province.

The three-day show is organized by the Commerce and Industry Department in cooperation with an advertising company at the province's sports gymnasium. Various manufacturing, commercial and service sectors have displayed their domestic products on forty booths.

The exhibition is aimed at marketing domestic products and productions, attracting investment and encouraging people to use domestic products.

The show is aimed at facilitating business opportunities and partnerships for local producers and artisans and providing a platform for educational and professional development for students and job seekers, creating business ideas, fostering innovation and entrepreneurship, and holding business networking meetings.

Head of Commerce and Industry Mufti Abdul Shakir said there were a variety of agricultural, mineral, and handicraft products that needed marketing in the province.

“We hope this three-day exhibition will be effective for artists and attracting customers and marketing for their products”’.

He said the government was trying to provide marketing and opportunities for traders and artists, and this exhibition was one of these efforts.

Economic Director Maulvi Ghulam Haidar Haidari explained holding this exhibition will be effective in assisting artists.

The only way to achieve self-sufficiency is the growth of productive sector, to which the caretaker government is committed, he added.

Abdullah, an artist who participated in the exhibition, explained he was happy with this move by the Industry and Commerce Department.

“I have displayed all kinds of handmade carpets at the exhibition. I hope I can attract customers and have good marketing”.

Syed Kabir, another artist, said: “In this exhibition, I have displayed a variety of local clothes that are our own production”. His goal is to market his products and boost his business.
