Azizi in Turkey to attend Halal Istanbul expo

KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Minister of Commerce and Industry Nooruddin Azizi has traveled to Turkey to participate in “Halal Istanbul” international exhibition.

The exhibition is scheduled to be held from November 27 to 30, said a statement from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

The acting minister would deliver a speech at the event and participate in various activities on the sidelines of the expo, the statement added.

Over 30 private sector representatives are accompanying Azizi on his trip to Istanbul, where Afghanistan’s products such as carpets, precious stones and dried fruits will be showcased.

The Halal Istanbul Expo is one of the biggest international exhibitions of the Muslim world, where 125 countries, 60 ministers, businessmen, industrialists and investors participated last year.
