Kabul, Baku agree to boost bilateral trade ties

KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Minister of Commerce and Industry Nooruddin Azizi and Deputy Economy Minister of Azerbaijan have discussed enhanced trade ties between Kabul and Baku.

Azizi met Azerbijani Deputy First Deputy Minister of Economy of Republic of Azerbaijan Mammadov on the sidelines of the “Halal Istanbul” international exhibition, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) wrote on its X handle.

It said the two sides also conferred on sustainable use of the lapis lazuli Road

In order to further boost relations between the two countries, Mammadov invited a delegation of the caretaker government and private sector to attend his country’s products exhibition scheduled to be organised in near future.

The Halal Istanbul Expo is one of the biggest international exhibitions of the Muslim world, where 125 countries, 60 ministers, businessmen, industrialists and investors participated last year.
