KABUL (Pajhwok): The caretaker government has appointed several officials, including a deputy minister and two governors.
The appointees also included a deputy governor, a commander and two chiefs of army staff, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) chief spokesman said.
Zabihullah Mujahid wrote on X the new appointments had been made in compliance with orders from the IEA leadership.
He said ex-public works director of southern Kandahar province Mullah Abdul Hadi Yaqub had been appointed as the deputy minister of energy and water.
Former governor of western Badghis province Maulvi Abdul Samad Javed has been named as the new governor of southern Ghazni province.
Ex-governor of Ghazni Mohammad Amin Jan Omari has been made the new governor of Badghis province.
Ex-commander of the 4th brigade of 205th Al Badr Corps Mullah Naqibullah has been appointed as the deputy governor of western Herat province.
Former chief of army staff of 205 Al Badr Corps Mullah Nasibullah Zubaif had been appointed as the chief of army staff of 215 Al Azm Corps.
Ex-chief of army staff of 215 Al Azm corps had been picked in same position in 209 Al-Fath Corps.
Former chief of army staff of the 209th Al Fath Corps has been appointed as the commander of fourth brigade of the 205th Al Badr Corps.
