KABUL (Pajhwok): Qatar is ready to play an important role in repairing Afghanistan’s cultural and historical monuments and centers under bilateral agreement, an official said on Monday.
On X, the Ministry of Information and Culture wrote that Qatar embassy’s advisor in Kabul Mardif Al-Qashouti met with deputy director of arts and culture Maulvi Atiqullah Azizi.
“We are very happy with the progress, self-sufficiency, and achievements of the Afghanistan people, and we consider it our religious and human obligation to participate in the protection and restoration of cultural and artistic values in in Afghanistan,”: the advisor said.
He said Qatar was ready to play an important role in strengthening and building Afghanistan’s cultural and ancient monuments and centers under bilateral agreement.
“Afghanistan is rich in historical and artistic heritage and is ready to understand and work in Islamic architecture, calligraphy, miniatures, museums, research, joint exhibitions, and other cultural fields,” Azizi said.
