KABUL (Pajhwok): Pakistan Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar and his Iranian counterpart have agreed to deepen bilateral cooperation in all spheres between Islamabad and Tehran.
Dar met Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi on the sidelines of Econmic Cooperation Organisation (ECO) foreign ministers’ meeting in the Iranian city of Mashhad.
The Foreign Office in Islamabad wrote on its X handle during the meeting, they exchanged views on areas of mutual interest and the latest regional and global developments.
The 28th meeting of foreign ministers from ECO countries kicked off in Mashhad on Monday.
ECO is a regional organisation founded by Iran, Pakistan and Turkey in 1985 to promote economic and cultural cooperation among member countries.
The number of ECO members increased to 10 with the admission of seven new countries, including Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
