Armed robber killed in Herat shootout

HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): An armed robber has been killed during a clash with security forces in western Herat province, officials said on Wednesday.

Police spokesman Ghulam Nabi Nabizada said the armed robber was killed during a firefight with patrolling security forces last night in the limits of 12^th district of Herat city.

The security forces recovered a pistol and two smart mobile phones from the slain robber, Nabizada said.

He did not say if any security personnel was harmed in the shootout.
