SHIBERGHAN (Pajhwok): One person was killed and 10 others were injured in a traffic accident on the Shiberghan-Sari Pul highway in northern Jawzjan province.
Qari Abdul Sattar Halimi, spokesman for the Jawzjan Police Headquarters, confirmed the casualties and said two vehicles collided in Hadbakhshi area on the highway.
Halimi added that the injured had been taken to the 200-bed provincial hospital in Jawzjan for treatment and their health condition was said to be stable.
He blamed the accident on over-speeding.
