Islamabad re-appoints Sadiq Khan as special envoy to Kabul

KABUL (Pajhwok): Pakistan has re-appointed former special representative for Afghanistan Sadiq Khan as the country’s special representative for Afghanistan, replacing Asif Durrani.

Sources close to Sadiq Khan told Pajhwok last night that the Pakistani government had once again appointed Khan as its special representative for Afghanistan.

First appointed as special representative for Afghanistan in 2020, he was dismissed in March 2023 and was replaced by Asif Durrani.

Durrani was relieved from his post about two months ago.
