KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): A water supply network, built at a cost of $90,000, has been inaugurated in the Imam Sahib district of northern Kunduz province.
Hamid Khan Momand, a spokesman for the Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department, said that the project was completed with the support of the DACAAR organization.
He added, “This water supply network, worth $90,000, is now operational in the village of Syed Ahmad Shah Agha in Imam Sahib district.”
Residents have expressed their relief and gratitude for the new infrastructure. Mohammad Yar, a resident of Imam Sahib, shared his happiness: “We are very grateful for this network. Previously, we faced numerous challenges, and the water we used was unsafe. Thank God, our problem has now been solved.”
Another resident, Abdullah, also welcomed the development: “We thank the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan for addressing our issues. The water we used to drink made our children ill, but now we are thrilled to have access to clean and safe drinking water.”
