3 of a family die due to gas suffocation in Nimroz

ZARANJ (Pajhwok): Three members of a family have died due to gas suffocation in Zaranj, the capital of northwestern Nimroz province, an official said on Wednesday.

Director of Public Health Maulvi Abdul Rahman Abdullah told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident occurred on Monday night in Khwaja Karim area.

The official said three family members were killed and two others fell ill due to gas suffocation inside their home.

The victims included a 14-year-old boy, a 12-year-old girl and a four-year-old girl, whose bodies were transferred to the provincial hospital, the director added..

Maulvi Abdullah urged people to be cautious using in winter, particularly at night, and to turn off heaters before sleeping.
