KABUL (Pajhwok): The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency has contributed $9 million (SEK 100 million) to Afghanistan, the United Nations Special Trust Fund for Afghanistan (UN-STFA) said.
On X, UN-STFA wrote: “This vital support empowers Afghan communities with resilience, hope and sustainable solutions in challenging times”.
Earlier, Sweden had announced $6.8 million in humanitarian aid to Afghanistan.
According to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), since 2014, Sweden has donated more than $85 million to the Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund (AHF).
