KABUL (Pajhwok): Japan has announced it would give Afghanistan an additional $27.5 million in humanitarian aid through partners.
In a post on X, the Japanese Embassy in Kabul wrote: “Pleased to announce that the government of Japan has decided additional 27.5 million USD assistance for Afghanistan, covering both humanitarian and basic human needs.”
“We hope this assistance will make a difference in the lives of vulnerable Afghans in need.”
It said Japan would deliver the assistance through partners such as the UN agencies, international organizations and Japanese NGOs.
Japan’s cumulative contribution to Afghanistan since August 2021 will be more than $505 million.
