KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan has extended an agreement on importing electricity from Uzbekistan until the end of 2025, the power utility announced on Wednesday.
Da Afghanistan Breshna Shirkat (DABS) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr. Abdul Bari Omar and a delegation accompanying him renewed the agreement during their trip to Tashkent.
DABS wrote on its X handle Omari also met Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Energy officials during their trip. However, DABS did not provide further details about the agreement.
Earlier, Afghanistan had renewed agreements on importing electricity from Tajikistan and Turkmenistan until the end of next year.
