CHARIKAR (Pajhwok): Two people have been killed and three others injured in a traffic accident in central Parwan province, a police official said on Friday.
Police spokesman Fazal Rahman Muskinyar told Pajhwok Afghan News that the accident occurred when a Corolla-type taxi veered off the road and plunged into a river in the Gahwara area of the Salang district on Thursday afternoon.
Muskinyar said that two people, including the driver, died, and three others were injured. He added that the injured were transferred to a provincial hospital and were in critical condition.
According to Muskinyar, the car was traveling from Takhar to Kabul, and the cause of the accident was attributed to the driver’s recklessness.
