JALALABAD (Pajhwok): At least two people have been killed and seven others injured in a traffic accident in the Surkh Rod district of eastern Nangarhar province, police said on Saturday.
Syed Tayib Hamad, police spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News two cars collided in the Khairabad area of the district on Friday.
Two individual lost their lives and seven others were wounded in the incident, Hamad said.
Security officials evacuated the injured to hospital for medical treatment, handed over the corpses to relative and launched an investigation into the accident.
The accident was blamed on rash driving.
Last week, 120 passengers were killed or wounded in two similar incidents in southern Ghani province.
