KABUL (Pajhwok): The Kabul Football Premier League (KFPL) matches are scheduled to begin on January 22nd in which nine teams would take part, officials said on Tuesday.
Farid Ahmad Yousufzai, head of the Kabul Football Federation and deputy head of the Futsal National Committee said that nine teams would participate in the league.
He added that the team that scores the most points in these competitions would advance to the zonal level competitions, and the team that comes in second place would advance to the Kabul Football League A competitions.
He said that he planned to hold a football league competition between schools in Kabul in the future.
Based on toss, the first match will be played between Habib Yana and Gulrang, the second match will be played between Mashal and Red Crescent, the third will be played between Ittihad and Amarkhel, the fourth will be played between Adalat and Sabawon, and the next match will be played between Habib Yana and Ittihad.
Qari Hayatullah Rahmani, senior advisor to the General Directorate of Sports and Physical Training, said that other federations would also play their competitions in the future.
He said currently, competitions were underway in some provinces.
