FEROZKOH (Pajhwok): A futsal tournament featuring 16 teams concluded in western Ghor province on Thursday, with Zera’at team emerging victorious.
Head of Football Federation Jan Mohammad Haidari said the futsal competition titled ‘Hamdeli’ was launched three weeks ago by Gul Ahmad Hamas in coordination with the Football Federation and the event wrapped up today.
He said Zera’at and Dayancyclet teams played the final and the former won the title 4-0.
Feraidon from Dayancyclet team and Ghulam Yahya from Zera’at team were adjudged as the best goal-keepers and Mehdi Fazl as a high goal striker of the tournament.
Residents said holding such matches were important for the growth of sports and striking unity among the youths. They emphasized such sports programs should be organized in the future.
