KABUL (Pajhwok): Officials of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) have discussed coordination on sending Afghan workers to foreign countries.
The Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (MoLSA) said a meeting was held to discuss enhanced coordination on dispatching labourers to foreign countries.
Labour Minister Abdul Manan Omari, Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi and NSIA Director Abdul Qaher Haji Idrees participated in this meeting.
The objective behind the meeting was to provide necessary facilities for the Afghans who want to be sent to the countries that accept skilled workers.
The participants decided to legalise and speed up the process through greater coordination, providing necessary facilities, better evaluation of the workers’ documents and the inking of a pentalateral agreement defining labourers’ rights and responsibilities.
The ministry said the meeting was based on an order from IEA’s supreme leader so that each of the five-sides could play a role in the process of legally sending labourers abroad and carrying out their responsibilities in issuing workers’ health certificates, ID cards and other documents.
