KABUL (Pajhwok): Two police officials have been killed by undefined gunmen in the Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province, reports said on Monday.
According to Pakistani media, the incident took place in the Ghazni Khel area of Lakki Marwat this morning.
The policemen were on their way to duty when they came under fire from unidentified gunmen, police spokesman Shahid Hameed told reporters.
Hameed identified the slain policemen as Hikmatullah and Khan Bahadur. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
The state-run TV confirmed the attack, which came three days after unidentified gunmen abducted three soldiers in the same district.
