AIBAK (Pajhwok): Vehicular traffic resumed to four districts of northern Samangan province after roads were cleared of snow on Monday, officials said.
Sher Agha Moshfeq, Engineer for the Public Works Department, told Pajhwok Afghan News highway to the four districts routes had been closed by heavy snowfall and a windstorm. The highway is now open to light traffic.
He advised drivers to carry essential items such as tyre chains, warm clothing, food, and fuel when traveling on the highway.
Mullah Abdul Wakil Haqyar, Khuram Sarbagh district chief, confirmed that the road connecting the district with the provincial capital, had been reopened, but only for vehicles that have chains.
