Quality medicines needed for standard health services

KABUL (Pajhwok): Kabul and Minsk have discussed the procurement of medicines, bilateral cooperation and capacity building of Afghanistan’s health personnel.

Acting Minister of Public Health Maulvi Noor Jalal Jalali and Deputy Public Health Minister of Belarus Alexander Starovoytov met here on Saturday.

A statement from the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) said the procurement of medicine, bilateral cooperation and the capacity building of Afghan health personnel came up for discussion.

Jalali emphasised the importance of acquiring quality medicine and medical equipment to ensure standard health services for the Afghan population.

He said: “We need quality medicines and medical equipment for standard health services, and based on good bilateral relations with Belarus, we can move forward in this area.”

The Ministry of Public Health has been actively pursuing strong relations with various countries to enhance and standardise Afghanistan’s health system.

Collaboration with Belarus is part of these efforts to improve healthcare delivery and benefit the citizens of Afghanistan.
