500 acres of land allocated for 2nd industrial park in Logar

PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): The Commerce and Industry Department of central Logar province says another industrial park is being built on 500 acres of land in west part of Mohammad Agha district of the province.

Maulvi Shabir Ahmad Sediqi, director of the department, told Pajhwok Afghan News they identified and allocated land for the second industrial park in cooperation with a delegation from capital Kabul in Mohammad Agha district today (Tuesday).

He said the entire plan for the industrial park has been finalized and the construction work will commence in near future.

He explained that dozens of industrial factories will be established in the park, creating significant investment opportunities for Afghan investors across the country.

He recalled the first phase of the first industrial park, on which construction work was initiated in the previous government, has been completed.

He announced the distribution of land to investors in the park will be started in upcoming year.

Meanwhile, residents of the province were also happy over the construction of second industrial park in the province.

Abdul Rahman, an inhabitant of the province, voiced satisfaction over the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) initiative to construct the second industrial park in this province.

He urged the government to complete the unfinished work on the first industrial park.

Construction work on an industrial park in Mohammad Agha district was initiated at a cost of six million US dollars 12 years ago. However, it has not yet been completed.
