Over 31,000 people land public, private jobs in 3 months

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (MoLSA) says as many as 31,000 people found jobs in government and private sectors over the last three months of the current solar year.

About 21,567 people landed jobs in government and 9,809 people in private sectors, MoLSA said.

A statement from the ministry said about 33,200 work licenses were distributed during the period, generating revenue through this process.

However, the statement did not elaborate about the amount of the revenue collected.

It added about 1,920 foreign nationals were given work permits during the same period.

According to the statement, the number of work permits distributed in the three quarters of 1403 has reached 90,231.

The Directorate of Human Resources information suggested about 4,461 individuals approached private employment firms and 1,780 individuals have been employed.
