KABUL (Pajhwok): The technical committee of the Turkmenistan Afghanistan Pakistan (TAP) project has held a meeting to improve coordination, integrate, and take other measures, a statement said on Wednesday.
The TAP project involves the construction of a 500 kV power line from the city of Mari in Turkmenistan to Quetta in Pakistan. The line will run for 705 kilometers through Afghan territory.
In a statement the Ministry of Energy and Water said that the meeting was chaired by Deputy Minister of Energy and Water Mullah Abdul Hadi Yaqoub.
In this meeting, comprehensive information about the TAP project was presented by experts from the Energy Programs Directorate during a presentation.
The statement said that after reviewing the project's documents, proposals, and progress status, discussions and exchange of views were held on coordination, integration of affairs, and other measures, and necessary decisions were taken.
