Jalali underlines need for modern health equipment, quality medicines

KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Public Health Minister Noor Jalal Jalali during a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Afghanistan Ali Raza Baigdali has stressed the need for quality medicines and modern equipment to strengthen health system in Afghanistan.

On its X handle the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), said the meeting discussed the resumption of hospital construction work in Kabul and Bamyan provinces, the quality and production of medicines, the implementation of agreements in relevant sectors, as well as bilateral cooperation in the health sector.

The acting health minister said: “To strengthen the country's healthcare system, we need quality medicines and modern medical equipment, based on bilateral relations and cooperation, we can make progress in this field and provide quality healthcare services to the people.”

Iranian Ambassador to Kabul assured the Acting Minister of Public Health that they would provide support Afghanistan in the area of public health.
