Snowfall closes Ghor-Kabul, Ghor-Herat highways

FEROZKOH (Pajhwok): Highways linking Ghor with Kabul and Herat and roads in nine districts of the western province have been closed for traffic due to heavy snowfall and storms.

Public Works firector Maulvi Abdul Karim Abu Shoib told Pajwok Afghan News: “The Ghor-Kabul highway in Bakak Band area between Ghor, Bamyan provinces and Ghor-Herat highway have been blocked by heavy snowfall and storm”.

The snow clearing teams are trying to reopen the blocked routes for traffic as soon as possible.
