Chinese citizen killed in Takhar

TALOQAN (Pajhwok): A Chinese citizen has been killed by unknown men in northern Takhar province, police said on Wednesday.

Police Chief Mohammad Akbar Haqqani said a Chinese citizen named Li left for an unknown location with his translator without informing police and other security officials last night.

The Chinese citizen was killed by unknown men on the Dasht-e-Qala road, but the translator was not harmed, he added.

Security forces have launched an investigation into the incident.
