KABUL (Pajhwok): The acting health minister has urged stepped-up cooperation between Afghanistan and Türkiye in the health sector and the speedy issuance of visas to emergency patients.
The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) said Minister Maulvi Noor Jalal Jalili met Turkish Ambassador Cenk Ünal in Kabul on Tuesday.
The two sides discussed issues such as increased cooperation between Turkish and Afghan health sectors and enhancing the capacity of health workers.
Importing the quality of medicine, speeding up the issuance of visas to emergency patients and reviewing health MoUs between Afghanistan and Turkey, were also discussed.
Jalali thanked Turkey for its humanitarian assistance and called cooperation in health sector essential. He hoped Turkey would provide better health services for Afghan nationals.
In response, the Turkish ambassador assured the minister of greater cooperation with Afghanistan from his country in the health sector.
