Residential houses built on usurped state-land in Logar demolished

PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): Tens of residential houses built on usurped state land in Pul-i-Alam, the capital of central Logar province, and Khoshi district have been leveled to the ground, an official said on Wednesday.

The move comes after a decision of the State Lands Usurpation Prevention Commission.

Sediq Ahmad Sediqi, the governor spokesperson, told Pajhwok Afghan News 40 illegal residential houses built on government land in the capital Pul-e-Alam and Khoshi districts have been demolished in accordance with a special decision of the Commission for the Prevention of Usurpation and the order of the central commission, and this series would be extended to other areas and districts.

He added that the Land Usurpation Prevention Commission in Logar has doubled its efforts compared to the past and has freed thousands of acres of government land from the clutches of land grabbers in the past year.

Sediqi urged the people of Logar to return the seized lands to the government and cooperate with the Commission for the Prevention of usurpation so that that such land could be returned.

According to the latest figures provided to Pajhwok, around 25,000 Jeribs of government land in Pul-e-Alam, the capital of Logar province, and its districts have been liberated from the clutches of land grabbers in the past two years.
