Over 800 families receive cash aid, blankets in Badakhshan

FAIZABAD (Pajhwok): Cash assistance and blankets have been distributed to 823 needy families in northeastern Badakhshan province, an official said on Friday.

Maulvi Mohammad Ikram Akbari, director of the Disaster Preparedness Department, told Pajhwok Afghan News that a total of 15.99 million afgahnis was allocated to families affected by natural disasters and returnees.

The aid was distributed through the Winter Support Project with financial support from the Concern organization to 823 families across 18 villages in the Tashkan district.

Each family received 19,430 afghanis in cash, along with three blankets.
