KABUL (Pajhwok): Iranian Foreign Minister Sayed Abbas Araghchi will arrive in Kabul today (Sunday).
Ismail Baghaei, spokesman for Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, confirmed the visit on his X and wrote: “We are heading to Kabul. Dr. Araghchi’s visit is part of our neighborhood policy and aligns with the Foreign Ministry’s core mission of safeguarding our national interests through engagement and addressing shared concerns.”
Baghaei also emphasized that the visit could mark a turning point in strengthening the extensive ties between the two nations and ensuring mutual benefits for both countries.
Earlier, Zakir Jalali, a senior official at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), described Araqhchi’s visit to Kabul as a constructive step towards enhancing bilateral relations.
