MoUs worth $100 million signed amid assistance to vulnerable people

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghanistan National Management Authority (ANMA) has signed joint cooperation Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) worth more than $100 million with national and international institutions to provide assistance to the people, an official said on Wednesday.

ANMA Acting Head Mullah Nooruddin Turabi announced this during a large public consultation meeting at district and village level, with the presence of officials, regarding the completion of the survey process of vulnerable areas and how to implement disaster risk reduction projects.

He said: “We will present all the problems to the leadership officials and, if Allah is willing, the problems will be resolved.”

Turabi clarified that the department has a database in which it has recorded the vulnerable points of all provinces, including Kabul, and areas that need basic work. He added that this was the first meeting in Kabul and after this, officials will be sent to all provinces to review the problems of the people so that basic services can be provided to them.
